H.-D. Rudolph GmbH – Optical Measurement Equipment

H.-D. Rudolph GmbH develops and manufactures electro-optical instruments for non-contacting precision measurement of mechanical dimensions in the fields of scientific research, development, and production. The Basic Products are elementary for many of our instruments. They allow high flexibility to consider customized requests and can be applied for a lot of different measuring tasks. For an overview of our products please see Products.

Extensometer Model 200XR

The electro-optical Extensometer Model 200XR contactlessly measures the motion of two black-and-white edges (targets) on a sample. The analog output signal is proportional to the strain. The frequency range of Model 200XR amounts to 0 – 250 kHz. The integrated viewer and the two liquid crystal displays simplify the performance of the adjustments required for the setup of the instrument; the viewer also allows observing the black-and-white edges on the sample while measuring takes place. Lens units with different measuring ranges of 1 mm - 500 mm can be mounted to Model 200XR by means of a flange. The calibration of the lens units results in an output voltage Δl of ±10V for the range of strain. There is the option of delivering the 200XR with a switch to toggle between the two measuring axes; this allows using the instrument also as Biaxial Extensometer 200XR in order to measure strain in either vertical or horizontal direction. For more information please see Extensometer 200XR.

Digital Extensometer ZS 32

With 4673 measurements per second and a resolution of 1:128000 the digital Extensometer ZS 128 electro-optically measures strain on samples. The digital sensors guarantee high stability and maintenancefree operation. The immediate delivery of calibrated values takes place during dynamic as well as endurance tests. The ZS 128 is able to perform measurements of strain on material hot up to 3000° C. Option: Measurement on max. 8 black-and-white markings per channel in order to detect the strain distribution on samples. For more information about Digital Extensometer ZS 128 see the article Digital Extensometer ZS 128.

Elektro-Optische Wegmesser 100R

The electro-optical Displacement Transducer 100R contactlessly measures the motion of a black-and-white edge (target). The analog output signal is proportional to the motion of the target within the frequency range of 0 - 250 kHz. Viewer and integrated display simplify the performance of the adjustments required for the setup of the instrument; the viewer also allows observing the black-and-white edge while its motion is measured. Lenses with different measuring ranges of 0.2 mm – 20 m can be mounted to Model 100R by means of a flange. The calibration of the lenses results in an output voltage of 10V (±5V) for the individual measuring range. With an autocollimator adapter mounted to the Displacement Transducer Model 100R fast angular motions of a front surface mirror can be measured. For more information concerning this camera please see article Electro-optical Displacement Transducer Model 100R
